Taking advantage of the rich soil and mild weather of the Pacific Northwest, John Victor Holmquist and his son, Anton, planted our first orchard in 1928. Much of our success is due to the DuChilly
hazelnut, a sweeter variety of hazelnut, without the bitter skin than
the more common round variety. Although harvesting and processing of our
nuts has become a lot more sophisticated over the last 50 years, one
thing has always remained the same, a quality and freshness of product
that speaks for itself.
